"I had this idea for a gothic style angel where the wings curve round protectively in a heart shape, and she looks down in sad reflection as the petal falls from a rose. It symbolised things passing, which is also echoed in the falling leaves. Available on girls garments with Spiral, poster from Pyramid and as November in my 2010 calendar. Thanks to model Elandria for the figure reference photo."
"As with many of my fantasy artworks I like to use symbolism within the picture to convey a sentiment. Angel Rose is about remembrance. The leaves falling symbolise life coming to an end, as does the falling petal on the rose. The gothic style angel remembers with love what once was. Her wings make the shape of a heart around her and there are heart motifs on her headband, lace gloves and tattoo, which also symbolise the love. Its not necessarily a sad picture, but a tribute to what has passed and a testament to the love that is still felt." ...
